A ripping yarn

My wife is a yarn addict. I like to tell a yarn and I like cake. My wife’s addiction had discovered a not so often open cake and yarn shop in Otley so when the offer of cake was made this morning I as usual packed a camera. Now, for those of you who know me, packing a camera can be anything from a Trip 35 to a Toyo 45C monorail. Only today, being careful of the offer of cake being withdrawn, I packed a small point and shoot. How I wished I’d packed the large format cameras. The cake was very good. I don’t normally do chocolate cake but this was good. However, even before I got to the cake, I realised I had happened upon a likely spot for some Edgelands work. How I missed not packing the Toyos!

Not to worry, even though I don’t normally shoot in full sun I am quite pleased with these.

As I swung the 4×4 around in the gravelly and weedy parking space I caught this viewpoint. Appetite whetted.

Cake was taken, Alpaca flock observed and then as always the other aspects of the place began to reveal themselves.

I need more cake and I need to take the 5x4s.
